Sam Froling commits to Creighton

The Creighton Bluejays have garnered another recruit for the 2018 recruiting class. The Jays have gotten a verbal commitment from Sam Froling from Australia. He is listed as a seven footer who will primarily play the 4 for Creighton.

Rivals does not rate international players but most experts feel Froling would fall in the 4 star category range. He has great mobility and can score either facing the basket or posting up. He really can run up and down the floor which fits the Jays style perfectly.

Creighton won this recruiting battle over Arizona, Wichita State and Maryland. It boiled down to a choice between the Wildcats and the Bluejays and Froling chose the Jays.

Bluejay Banter.com caught up with Froling briefly for a comment. When asked for the reason for the decision Froling sited comfort. "I felt super comfortable with Creighton and my gut feeling was to go to Creighton" said Froling. The comfort also came from having another Aussie on the roster, 6-11 Jacob Epperson who is red shirting this season. He also will get to face his brother twice a year. Harry, who is a sophomore at Marquette, plays center in a reserve role for the Golden Eagles.

Stay tuned to Bluejay Banter for more information on recruiting all year long.
