Milon set to visit the hilltop

Last time we checked in with three-star 2015 prospect Matt Milon, his summer basketball had just come to an end because of a broken nose, and he hadn't trimmed down his lists of schools yet. Milon's recovery from the broken nose is now complete -- he no longer needs to wear a mask when he's on the basketball court -- and he has lined up his official visits.
Milon visited Davison over the weekend (Aug. 28-30), and has scheduled visits to Boston College (Sept. 4-5), Creighton (Sept. 25-27), and Harvard (Oct. 3-5). Milon might also go to Florida State on September 19 to take in the school's football game against Clemson and to check out the school.

"It's been pretty chaotic, but I'm glad I'm getting toward the end of the recruiting process," Milon said. "I'm excited to take my visits and interested to see some of these good schools."
Milon is already familiar with Creighton -- he took an unofficial visit to the university in March. He was on hand with fellow sharp-shooter Matt McQuaid to see Creighton take on Providence on senior night.
"That atmosphere was amazing, and Doug McDermott scored, like, 45 points," Milon saod. "They have some really passionate fans. They all stuck around for all of the seniors' speeches after the game."
Milon tells me he is looking for a school with good academics, a coaching staff he has a good relationship with and a system that fits his style of play.
"Creighton's style of play fits me perfectly," he said. "They have been good at developing players like me. The fan support is incredible and I really like the relationship all of the players had with each other."
The lefty is labeled as one of the best shooters in the country, but he is much more than that. At 6-foot-4 and 180 pounds, scouts really like his ability to rebound for a guard.
Creighton still has three scholarships to fill the 2015 recruiting class (big man Justin Patton is the Jays' lone 2015 commit so far). Jays fans have become accustomed to some high-percentage shooters from the outside in recent years -- guys like Doug McDermott, Ethan Wragge and Jahenns Manigat -- so Milon's shooting ability certainly would be a great addition to the 2015 class.
