Milon interested in Shooter U.

2015 prospect Matt Milon, an Oviedo, Fla. native, hasn't had the typical summer of a three-star prospect -- Milon's AAU season was cut short by a broken nose. He had surgery last Friday and won't be able to start playing basketball with a mask on for another two weeks. But that hasn't stopped schools like Creighton, Boston College, Florida State and Davidson, among others, from coming after the 6-foot-4 guard.
"I'm looking for a school that has great academics, so I can get a valuable degree and a good job after college," Milon said. "I want a school that has a good basketball situation and that fits my playing style of shooting threes."

Milon's shooting is the first thing people notice, but he's much more than just a shooter.
"I have a lot of the intangibles," he continued. "I am a good shooter, but I'm a leader on the floor and I can rebound and pass as well."
The Creighton coaches certainly have an eye for shooters -- they have consistently had some of the best shooting teams and shooters over the last few seasons, a three-year stretch unmatched by any in school history. Creighton's program has even been given the nickname "Shooter U." by some media members and others.
Milon was on campus last season for Creighton's senior night game against Providence and plans on taking an official visit soon, too.
"That game was amazing," Milon said. "Doug McDermott had like 45 points. The game was sold out. It was just an overall great experience.
"The fans are amazing at Creighton and they've got a brand new practice facility. It reminds me of my high school in a way because everything is right there and it's appealing because it's right in the middle of the city."
You know the old adage - no team can ever have enough shooters. Creighton hopes to make Milon part of its 2015 recruiting class and continue its streak of producing some of the nation's best shooters.
