The Creighton Bluejays have gotten their first pledge for the Class of 2018 in Rivals 150 player Christian Bishop. Ranked as the 140th prospect in his class, Bishop is a 6'8" forward from Lee's Summit, Missouri who also had offers from the likes of Missouri, Oklahoma State and Wichita State.

After entering high school at just 5'8" tall, Bishop has grown about a foot and his game and profile as a recruit has grown with him. A class "late bloomer" Bishop's stock has steadily risen to the point where he has been included in the most recent Rivals 150 rankings.

Prior to his commitment to the Jays, Bishop had been on an unofficial visit to Omaha just a few days ago, a trip that coincided with the start of the College World Series, the perfect time for the Creighton coaching staff to show off their city.
