CU Team Camp brings in several prospects

The Creighton basketball program is holding their annual team camp on campus today with recruits from the 2013, 2014, and 2015 classes hitting the hardwood. Players are invited up with their coaches to participate in the event and learn from the Bluejay coaches and players. It's a chance for younger players to work on their game and to discover what Creighton University has to offer.
Players from as far away as Texas have come to Omaha to check out CU, thanks to the talent pipeline that the Bluejays have built to places like the Lone Star State over the past 2 years. Head Coach Greg McDermott and his staff have seen tremendous interest in the Bluejay program following the NCAA Tournament appearance last March and teams from Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Wisconsin and more all came to be a part of the event.

Plus, the chance to come play on the same court as 1st Team All-American Doug McDermott is something that no other school in the country can currently offer.
Here are some of the notable players on campus today:
2013 SG Darian Harris: The 6'6 shooting guard plays for Shiloah Christian Academy in Arkansas. He's a shooter that has picked up numerous Non-BCS offers. He's a larger guard who can really score.
2013 SG Trey Kennedy: Creighton has recruited players from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas before and the program has produced numerous DI prospects. Trey's dad, Shani, played ball at UTSA.
2013 wing Jake Flaggert: Jake is one of 4 players from the Dallas Triump AAU program that is on campus for team camp. The 6'5 small forward does not have a Creighton offer yet but could get one soon as he appears to be a sleeper in this class. Plays for LoveJoy High School in Texas.
2013 SG Steven Spieth: At 6'6, Spieth is another larger shooting guard or small forward. Plays AAU for Dallas Triump as well. He plays his high school ball for Jesuit High in Texas.
2013 F Toby Hegner: We have followed Toby for a while now since Creighton was the first school to offer him. Toby is one of the top targets for the upcoming recruiting class. We will have more on Toby's visit soon.
2013 F Andrew Chrabascz: Another player we have chronicled for a few months. He spent his 18th birthday in Omaha. He now has 31 offers, including an aggressive one from Creighton.
2013 F Ted Friedman: Another Iowan that is 6'8 and thin but he is versatile and skilled. Creighton is involved with him. Ted plays his AAU for Kingdom Hoops.
2013 C Zach Hanson: CU has offered the South Dakota big man. Lots of Midwestern schools are watching his development this summer.
2014 F Treshawn Thurman: Local product from Omaha has received a ton of attention and the Jays have been very successful in keeping local talent home.
2014 F Casey Schlatter: The Iowa forward has received offers from Creighton and other Missouri Valley Schools but is still developing his body. At 6'8, he is a nice player to watch over the next year.
2014 F Aaron Still-Lock: Mom played in the WNBA. Dad played at Kentucky. It's safe to say that this is a player from Bishop Seabury High School in Kansas City that should be watched.
2014 G Tyrone Taylor: The Grandview High School product in Kansas City has a Creighton offer. Very talented player that is worth paying attention to over the next year.
2015 F Mason Riggins: From Whitewright (TX), Mason is a big time athlete with a huge upside. Could be one of the top players in the state of Texas for his class soon.
We will have more on the players who were at Creighton's team camp once it wraps up this weekend.
