The Jays (25-6) were awarded the #9 overall seed in this year's field. They'll play Coastal Carolina (20-7) on Friday night at 8pm. Creighton played Coastal in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in 2015, winning in four sets.

On the opposite side of the bracket, Missouri State (28-5) will go up against Michigan State (21-8) in the early game at 5pm.

This is the first time Creighton Volleyball has ever hosted a regional. Marquette was the only other BIG EAST team to make the field, and they'll take on in-state rival Wisconsin on Friday night.

The Jays are coming off back to back deep runs in the NCAA tournament, going to the Sweet 16 in 2015 and the Elite 8 in 2016. They've won 4 consecutive BIG EAST Tournaments, and earned the automatic bid this season. They finished 10th in RPI.

Coastal Carolina won the Sun Belt this year, finished 74th in RPI, they've been to the NCAA Tournament for 4 consecutive years, and they're buoyed by similar competition with matches against Duke and North Carolina, so they're no stranger to big time competition.

Tickets will be reserved for season ticket holders first, who should've received an e-mail about purchasing opportunities. Tickets available to the public will be announced within the next couple days.

Go Jays, and let's hope for a packed DJ Sokol Arena!
