Cody Schwartz wants to add to his list of offers

Cody Schwartz, a 2015 forward from De Pere, Wisc., has two more weeks' worth of basketball tournaments to showcase his skills - he plays in Milwaukee this upcoming weekend then heads for Las Vegas with his Wisconsin Blizzard AAU team the following weekend. Schwartz hopes to pick up more offers during this stretch.
Schwartz knows all about Creighton as he has taken two unofficial visits to Omaha -- last season, he got to see the program up close and personal at Bluejay Madness (Creighton's pre-season Midnight Madness-type event) and in Creighton's home game against North Texas.

"I really like Coach McDermott," Schwartz said. "He's a nice guy and easy to talk to. I could see myself playing for him because I would fit really well into their offense. I really like their whole coaching staff and they were the first to offer me a scholarship."
Schwartz mentioned that Creighton, Gonzaga and San Jose State, who just offered him yesterday, have been coming after him the hardest. He has taken unofficial visits already to Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Northern Iowa and Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Scwartz is listed at 6-foot-8 and 180 pounds. He's been skinny all his life but is working on adding strength. He's also been working hard on his ball handling.
"I love to shoot the three," he said. "I'm not the quickest guy out there but my jump shot is my strength. I can shoot over guys or I can pump fake and take it the hole. My mid-range game is good and helps me when I post up and face up to the basket."
After his trip to Vegas, Schwartz plans on sitting down with his parents and AAU coach to sort through his offers and narrow things down to a top five. Those will be the schools that will be getting an official visit from Schwartz. Sounds like Creighton will be on that list.
