Bluejays hit New York for Media Day

Head Coach Greg McDermott brought his two senior leaders with him from Omaha to the Big Apple for Creighton's first ever Big East Media Day. Click the links for audio of Creighton's appearance in New York on Wednesday.
Grant Gibbs: Creighton did not know if they were going to have Grant but it's impossible to undervalue what he means to the team now he is back for a 6th year. His leadership, on and off the floor, stretches into everything the Jays try to accomplish as a unit.
We had the chance to talk to him, one-on-one, at the Big East Media Day about coming back to Creighton for a 6th season of college basketball.
Doug McDermott: What can be written here that hasn't already been said? Doug will go down as the most decorated student-athlete that Creighton has ever produced. He will be in the NBA next year and probably as a 1st round pick. Doug will set records that might never be touched by another Bluejay basketball player.
For those reasons and others, he was very popular at Big East Media Day. Doug took a few minutes to talk about the upcoming seasons and what he hopes to achieve as a senior.
Coach Mac: One of the fun things about Media Day is the opportunity to watch other media members ask Coach questions about his program. You learn a ton about how the media will view Creighton being a part of the Big East.
At Media Day, Coach Mac talked about the new league and how the Jays expect to perform this season.
